Quality, safety, and sustainability

Heras puts a lot of thought into quality, safety, health, and sustainability. Heras is ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified. Regarding sustainability, Heras is certified at level 3 on the CO2 performance ladder. To maintain a healthy and safe working environment on project locations, we are VCA** 2017/6.0 certified.

As experts in perimeter security, we focus on the development, purchase, production, installation, export and maintenance of fencing, gates, and outside security systems.

Quality

As an expert on the subject of perimeter protection, Heras has a reputation to uphold. The efficacy of a perimeter protection solution relies heavily on the quality of the components, the production method and corrosion protection. Quality assurance is a key priority for us. Heras endeavours to ensure the quality of its products by carrying out meticulous quality control checks at key stages of the production processes.

We work with a certified quality management system (ISO 9001:2015) that allows us to monitor our stakeholders and through which we have been able to define our opportunities and risks. This allows to deliver consistent quality that lives up to our customers wishes and the applicable laws and regulations. Our quality department is responsible for dealing with and solving complaints, to initiate improvements where needed and implement these improvements in collaboration with the relevant department.

Heras’s employees are always discerning and continue to improve processes, production, and quality.

Safety

‘Safety First’. At Heras, safety and health are priority number one. Working in a safe and healthy manner, creating a safe work environment, and preventing personal injury and damage to materials and the environment are key objectives at Heras. We put a lot of effort into ensuring we work in a safe and healthy way and making sure that everybody arrives back home safe after a day’s work.

In addition to our safety management system (VCA** 2017/6.0), we have created a framework with 16 Life-Saving Rules. These rules create a framework that manages risk in our work and ensures that accidents can be prevented.

Working in a safe and healthy way is something that we accomplish together, and it is part of the company’s culture and DNA. That means that we expect our own employees as well as our subcontractors to contribute to a safe and healthy working environment through their own behaviour and sense of responsibility.

Sustainability

At Heras we use an environmental management system, and we are ISO 14001:2015 certified. This system, the laws, and regulations and what is called the environmental permit, together define the primary environmental framework and policies at Heras.

Heras believes that it is paramount to not only be an environmentally aware organisation, but to also actively contribute to environmentally sound practices. This we achieve by creating smarter and more sustainable processes, innovating our products and by actively reducing our CO2 footprint.
At Heras, we are constantly looking for innovative developments with regards to the environment, through which we aim to reduce environmental pollution as much as possible.

On the subject of further reduction of our CO2 footprint, we take an active approach and are in possession of a level 3 CO2-Conscious certificate.
