Heras Motor Drive

Low-noise and efficient drive for sliding gates

The HMD (Heras motor drive) has been developed as a low-noise and efficient drive for sliding gates. Produced in-house by Heras, the drive is available in three versions:

  • The HMD Basic with a maximum open/close speed of 0.20 m/sec is recommended if the gate is opened less than 20x per day
  • The HMD Standard with a maximum open/close speed of 0.25 m/sec. is recommended if the gate is opened more
    than 20x per day
  • The HMD Advanced with a maximum open/close speed of 0.50 m/sec is recommended if the gate is opened more than 20x per day, and where extra security levels require a faster gate drive and shorter waiting time

All three HMD drives have a system log and soft stop/start. They can optionally be equipped with a receiver and hand transmitter(s), emergency stop, and flashlight/lamp control.

In addition, the HMD Standard/Advanced versions can be equipped with traffic/surrounding lights, week/year timer and automatic disconnect.

The European CE Standards for Automated Gate installations are revised and tightened

The safety requirements for CE certification became more stringent from 2022. The main purpose of these more stringent requirements is to increase safety levels and help further reduce the number of accidents in the future.
